Ruth E. Comer

Ruth E. Comer, age 88, formerly of Chambersburg and Ft. Myers, Florida passed away in West Chester, PA on Thursday, September 24, 2015. Born July 23, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Arthur P. Frey, Sr. and Janet Mitchell Frey. She was preceded in death by her husband Raleigh Comer of Detroit, Michigan and Fort Myers, Florida.

She is survived by two children, Barbara Rotz Parrish and her husband, David, of Chambersburg and R. Brian Rotz and his wife, Karen, of West Chester; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother, Robert Frey; a sister, Trudy Meckley; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Arthur P. "Bud" Frey, Jr., three sisters, Mary McNew, Janet Ritter, Nellie Corwell, and step mother, Bertha Shade Frey. 

There will be a memorial service at The United Methodist Church of West Chester, 129 South High Street, West Chester, PA at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 3, 2015. Interment will be in Ft. Myers, Florida at the convenience of the family.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The United Methodist Women, The United Methodist Church of West Chester, 129 South High Street, West Chester, PA 19382.
