Robert "Bob" Snyder

Robert “Bob” Snyder, 65, died on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at home surrounded by family and friends after a yearlong brave battle with cancer.

He was born on July 15, 1950 in Lansdale, Pa to Robert and Alverda Snyder.

He graduated from North Penn High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Education from West Chester University.

For over 30 years Bob worked as the steward for the Knights of Columbus Council #1333 in West Chester, Pa. After his retirement, he began working for the County of Chester at the Justice Center as a mail clerk.  Known as "Snyder" to friends and family, Bob could always bring a laugh or smile to your face.

He loved the sun, beach and a good book.  An avid Phillies fan, Bob often attended games, spring training and Phillies road trips. "Snyder" loved time spent with his family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his father Robert Snyder, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Janet Snyder; mother, Alverda Snyder; brother, Ronald (Theresa) Snyder, and nephews, R. J., Sean Douglas, and Andrew Robert  as well as his beloved canine companions, Stella and Harry.

Family and friends are invited to join us in celebrating Bob's life on October 18, 2015 between 2-6 at the Knights of Columbus Council # 1333, 110 West Market Street, West Chester, PA. 

Memorial donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus Council #1333,110 West market St., West Chester, PA, 19382  and/or to the S.P.C.A., 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380 address.

Interment will be private
