Philip T. Makowski

Philip T. Makowski, 51 of West Chester, PA died Friday April 29, 2016 at his home.

He was the husband of Judith McIlhenney Makowski and father of Patrick, Stephanie and Shane.

Born April 4, 1965 in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of Thomas Makowski and Anne Ryan Makowski and brother of Dawn Keiser.

A proud Temple Alum, Phil was a CPA who earned his B.S. in Accounting and was a former cheerleader for the Owls.  For the past 2 years, he worked as the Controller for Brandywine Coach Works.  Phil was a huge fan of Jimmy Buffett and his beloved Dallas Cowboys- he never missed a concert and traveled to Dallas as often as he could. 

For 10 years, Phil was very involved as a Coach and treasurer of the Westside Little League. He also voluntered time to umpire for the league and for other little leagues in the area. His favorite family times were skiing at Beaver Creek in Colorado and vacationing in Myrtle Beach. 

In addition to his immediate family and parents, Phil will also be missed by his mother-in-law Lorene McIlhenney, his father-in-law William McIlhenney and his sister-in-law Edye McIlhenney Twer.

Relatives and Friends are invited to his visitation on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street, West Chester, PA 19380, 610-696-1181, www.DellaFH.com.  His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am Wednesday May 4, 2016 at the SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct. West Chester.  Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery West Chester PA.
