Nancy A. Zook of West Chester.

Nancy A. Zook, 79 of West Chester, PA, died on August 12, 2017 at her home.

She was the wife of the late Garfield W. Zook.

Born June 17, 1938 in West Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late James W. Abraham and the late Dorothy Davis Abraham.

Nancy was born and raised in West Chester. She graduated from the West Chester Joint High School in 1956 and was a part of the cheerleading squad, as well as student council and Marching Band. She attended West Chester State Teachers College studying Elementary Education.

Nancy was the front-end manager at Schwenzer’s Bakery and Quaker Bakery for many years. Nancy was the manager of the Parkway Cleaners of Westtown where she retired after twenty-plus years.

She was an avid reader. Her life revolved around her family, both immediate and extended. She and Gary also enjoyed spending their weekends with friends and family on the Chesapeake at her place in Chestnut Point Marina. She was known for her constant smile, as well as her caring nature and giving spirit.

She is survived by her children, Kim MacGuinness of Paoli, Linda Gilson and her husband Pete of Downingtown, Chuck Zook and his girlfriend Deanna Dulaney of West Chester, and Kathy Young and her husband Dean of Coatesville. Her grandchildren include Brian and his wife Monica, Jodi, Kelly, Jenn, Tyler and CJ. Her great grandchildren are; Carter, Ali, Jake and Parker. She is also survived by her brother Jim Abraham of Malvern.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Abraham, and grandson, Jeff MacGuinness.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 9-11am at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 212 S. High St. West Chester, PA 19380; followed by her Memorial Service at 11am.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
