Lois J. Hurst

Lois J. Hurst of Wilmington, DE, passed away at home on Monday, January 15, 2018.

She was the wife of the late Roy C. Hurst.

Born March 19, 1936 in West Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Carter and the late Anna Laffey Carter.

Lois graduated from St. Agnes High School in West Chester, PA.

After many years of service, Lois retired in 2005 from Wilmington Trust Co.

She was a parishioner of Church of the Holy Child in Wilmington, DE. She enjoyed genealogy, crocheting, playing cards and family adventures.

Lois is survived by her companion, Edward Savina of Wilmington, DE; daughters, Stephanie Taylor (Dan) of West Chester, PA; Vaune D. Messinger (William) of Aston, PA, and Melanie N. Hurst of Wilmington, DE; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; siblings, Virginia Abbott of Glendora, CA and Charles Carter of West Chester, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm at St. Agnes Church, 233 W. Gay St. West Chester, PA; followed by her Funeral Mass at 1:00 am.

Interment will be in St. Agnes Cem., West Chester, PA.
