Lida P. Marshall

August 27, 1939 ~ October 21, 2016 (age 77) 77 Years Old

Lida Marshall of West Chester On October 21, 2016, Lida P. Marshall of West Chester, Pa. passed from this life to her heavenly home. She peacefully departed surrounded by her family at the Chester County Hospital.

Lida was born on August 27, 1939 to the late Leroy A. Williams and the late Madeline P. Williams of West Chester, Pa.

She was educated in the West Chester school system. Lida later married Robert (Bobby Marshall) of West Chester.

Lida worked 30 + years for then Gagliardi Brothers (H.J Heinz/Ore Ida). She also worked at West Chester University in the dining hall.

Lida (Lottie) was raised in the family church in West Chester, and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age. She later became a member of the 2cnd Baptist Church of Kennett Square, Pa. where her brother Rev. Dr. Marvin T. Williams serves as Pastor. She currently attended the Cornerstone Church in West Chester, Pa. under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Tracy Seletta. While attending at the 2cnd Baptist Church of Kennett Square, she joined the Missionaries and Pastor’s Aide Organization.

Lida (Lottie), was an avid reader who enjoyed going to the local libraries or receiving books from libraries near or far. While being the unofficial neighborhood watch captain, she worked to make those who live within the area feel safe and secure; knowing that at any moment she would call 911 “THE MAN” if anything seemed suspicious. When anyone would drive through town they would see Lottie on her daily walk, usually not accepting a ride and many times reaching the other side of town near or before their arrival.

Her love of people and pride in her home town would allow her unique personality to shine.

She is survived by her children Pastor Bernardo A. Williams (Dee) of Norristown, Renee Marshall, Anthony Marshall, Pastor Dana M. Denson (Kenyatta) of Muskogee, Oklahoma, 5 grandchildren John, Matthew and Taylor Williams, Omaryana Lee and Kejone’ Denson and 1 great-grandson Lloyd Lee. Also, she is survived by her brother, Rev. Dr. Marvin T. Williams (Ruth) of East Fallowfield, and 1 Aunt, Mrs. Olethia Nelson, of Camden Wyoming, DE.
