Kay Elizabeth Miller age 72, died April 10, 2017 at Bryn Mawr Hospital as the result of complications from cancer diagnosed July 27, 2016. Predeceased by her loving husband, Lt. Col. Edward Bingham Miller of 40 years in marriage, she is survived by her children, Elizabeth Kay of Center City Philadelphia, and David Moore (fiancee Jenni Katzman) of Washington, DC, and many nieces and nephews. Her sister Martha (Pautz) predeceased her. 

Kay was born in Minooka, Illinois, on April 20, 1944, daughter of Clark and Evelyn Moore. She attended Chicago Wesley Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Kay met Ed in Chicago and they married in Minooka on September 3, 1966. Kay accompanied Ed to Air Force duty stations in New York, Florida, Hawaii, Washington, DC, and New Jersey. Following Ed’s retirement from the Air Force, the family moved to Bryn Mawr, PA in 1987, where Kay continued her nursing career at Valley Forge Military Academy and Lower Merion School District.

Kay was a dedicated member of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, where she served the community in many capacities, including as Deacon. Her favorite retirement activities included traveling with her family and friends, volunteering with LBBC, and spending time at the shore in Strathmere, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service 11 am Thursday, April 13th at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, 625 Montgomery Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, Delaware Valley Friends School, The Community Design Collaborative or Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC).
