José Jairo Gómez, 80, of West Chester, died Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Chester County Hospital.

He was the husband of Lucia Sánchez Gómez.

Born July 11, 1935, in Sonsón, Colombia, he was the son of the late Manuel Adán Gómez and the late Salomé Botero Jaramillo.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Hernan A. Gómez (Monica) of Downingtown, Luis J. Gómez (Lisa) of West Chester, Martha Gómez Simmers (Charles) of Coatesville, and Juan F. Gómez (Rachel) of Washington DC, grandchildren and great grandchildren, siblings Oliva Gómez and Gladys Gómez of Medellin, Colombia, and Alberto Gómez of Bogotá, Colombia.
