To the Byrne family, We were greatly saddened to here of the loss of your dear father. and husband. My brothers and I, were touched in more than just on the field. "Shug" helped build character and a long lasting desire to always strive to do your best. His wisdom, and great sense of humor will be missed. We will honor him with one last hearty shout of WIN! Viking Pride forever!

Jack always made you feel better about things when you where around him. His infectious lightness of spirit and love of life swept you up and carried you away with him. A great friend that we will always keep in our hearts. We will miss him.

Mr, Byrne,
You were always a great influence on your students and athletes! You will be missed by so many and may your family be comforted in this difficult time. You made the athletic department and you were so good you had to keep coming back out of retirement! The Lord will care and welcome you to see so many who have passed before you! I'll never forget you as a teacher!
Warm Regards,

We are very sorry to hear about the passing of Jack He was such an awesome mentor and boss when he was athletic director at East. He was the easiest person to talk to and work with. Marianne, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you go through this difficult time. He was soooo loved by the entire Brewer family!!!

Jack; a great coach, AD, teacher, father, husband, family man and friend. He welcomed me and my family when we moved to West Chester in the early 80's and made us feel at home. He put West Chester East on the Pennsylvania Athletic map. Thanks, Jack !
