Joan Osborne Eaton

Joan Osborne Eaton, age 87, passed away on June 9,2017, at home in Dania Beach, Florida. 

Joan was born on July 28,1929 in Stoke-on-Trent, England. She was an only child and daughter to Mary Elizabeth and Frederick Clarence Osborne.  There in England, she attended finishing school and graduated with a Degree in Economics. 

In 1957, Joan fell in love with Eric Eaton and they were married on September 10, 1957. They raised three children Nigel, Susan, and Adrian. Upon a career opportunity in 1969, the family left England and moved to Geneva, Switzerland where Eric pursued employment with FMC International. After four years in Switzerland, the family moved to the United States. First living in Westport, Connecticut and then to West Chester, Pennsylvania, Joan was a stay at home Mom and took great pride in her family. She became an expert in entertaining, was a gourmet cook, and thoroughly enjoyed playing tennis, bridge and golf. She loved singing and always had a song in her heart. With Eric's career, Joan traveled and lived around the world in such places as Caracas, Venezuela and Bangkok, Thailand.

Joan is survived by her three children Nigel Eaton (Patti), Susan White (Donald), and Adrian Eaton (Kristy) and her six grandchildren Caroline and Christopher Eaton, Andrew White, Eric, Nicholas, and Matthew Eaton.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 10:30 am – 11:30 am at SS Peter and Paul Church,1325 Boot Rd. West Chester, PA 19380, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 am. 

Interment will follow in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
