JoAnne S. Fillippo

JoAnne S. Fillippo, 71 of Malvern, PA, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at home.

She was the wife of Thomas A. Fillippo.

Born on January 4, 1947 at Camp Lejeune, NC she was the daughter of the late Dr. William C. Stainback and Sally Arnold Stainback.

She graduated with a bachelor’s Degree in Education from Limestone College in 1969 and earned her master’s Degree in Education from Appalachian State in 1970.

JoAnne was a devoted homemaker to her children and taught for 11 years at Downingtown High School.  

She also served as the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Devault Foods, Inc. 

JoAnne loved spending time with her family, riding horses, skiing and playing tennis. She also loved animals, and vacationing at Topsail Island, NC and Jackson Hole.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Joelle K. Lynn (Aaron) of Malvern, PA and son Thomas W. Fillippo (Erin) of Malvern, PA; 8 grandchildren; sister Bonnie S. Epling of Philomont, VA; brother, William C. Stainback of Novato, CA and brother David A. Stainback of West Chester, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Thursday April 26, 2018 from 9:00am – 11:00am at Wayne United Methodist Church, 210 S. Wayne Avenue, Wayne, PA; followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00am.

Interment will be in Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer, PA.
