George R. Painter

George R. Painter of Kennett Square.

George R. Painter, 71 of Kennett Square, PA died Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at his home.

He was the husband of M. Alice McCafferty Painter.

Born July 30, 1946 in Pottsville, PA he was the son of the late Carlton Painter and the late Helen Pugh Painter.

He served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, being honorably discharged with the rank of LCpl.

George was a longtime law enforcement officer for the Pennsylvania State Police Department and the Chester County Detectives.

He loved being with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Catherine Craig, son, Carlton Painter, and brother, Edward Painter.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Painter.

Services and Interment will be held in Private.
