George Patrick Binns of West Chester.

George Patrick Binns, 67 of West Chester, PA, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at his home.

He was the husband of Beverly A. Waltz Binns.

Born March 18, 1950 in San Pedro, CA, he was the son of the late Walter Scott Binns and the late Peggy McSweeny Binns.

George received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering at California State Polytechnic Institute at Pomona, California.

He worked for Santa Fe Railroad and Amtrak prior to his retirement.

George served as the Adult Committee Chair for Boy Scout Troop 21and a member of the Sons of American Revolution. He enjoyed the Boy Scouts, woodworking, reading, fishing, camping, and other outdoor activities.

In addition to his wife he, is by his sons Devlin Patrick, Crawford Lee and Austin Howard Binns; his siblings, Walther S. Binns II, Bill Binns, Alana Maury, James Binns, and Peggy Binns and family.

He was predeceased by his precocious daughter, Sierra and his sister Evelyn.

Relatives and Friends are invited to his visitation on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 2- 5 pm at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc., 410 North Church Street, West Chester, PA 19380; 610-696-1181; www.DellaFH.com.

Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Chester County Council Boy Scouts of America, 504 S. Concord Rd. West Chester, PA 19382.
