Frank J. Martin

Frank J. Martin, 92 of West Chester, PA died Wednesday December 6, 2017 at his home.

He was the husband of Patricia Mackle Martin.

Born February 22, 1925 in Conshohocken, PA he was the son of the late Martin Misciagna and the late Gerardina Buonocore Misciagna.

Frank grew up in Conshohocken and was a realtor, broker, and insurance agent for over fifty years. He was also an accomplished trumpet player and pianist, playing with the Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey Bands when they came to the area.  

Frank served as a Navigator in the Army Air Corps during WWII.  Though strong and sometimes tough, Frank had a heart of gold and enjoyed serving and helping others.  

In addition to his wife he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Eli Davids, daughters, Gerardina Martin, and Martina Martin, seven grandchildren, Rhea Metz, Neil Davids, Graciella Wakefield, Frankie, Martina, Catherine, Nicholas, Gabriel, four great-grandchildren, Isabelle Metz, Elizabeth Wakefield, Jake Davids, Brian Davids, three brothers, Peter Misciagna, Martin Misciagna, Albert Misciagna, two sisters, Josephine McGarvey, Geraldine Baker and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Cecilia Colgan, Mary Joyce, Rita Rapinesi Anne Misciagna and brother, James Misciagna.  

Relatives and Friends are invited to his visitation on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 10:30 am - 11:30 am at St. Agnes Church, 233 W. Gay St. West Chester, PA 19380; followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30 am December 12, 2017. Please feel free to bring your favorite picture of Uncle Frank to share with the family.  

Interment will be private.
