Erma R. Deal of Downingtown.

Erma R. Deal, 85 of Downingtown, PA died Tuesday January 23, 2018 at her home.

She was the wife of Charles G. Deal with whom she had shared 61 years of marriage.

Born March 27, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Robert Clark D.D. and the late Emma Erma Marie Keeler Clark.

For many years Erma assisted her husband’s company Purosky & Tuckerman, Inc who serviced Motorola equipment. She also was a Keypunch Operator for Bell Telephone.

Erma was a member of the Order of Amaranth, where she was a Past Royal Matron.

She was an avid reader, global traveler, Girl Scout Leader, and liked to play pinochle. Erma loved homemade crafts such as embroidery, crochet and knitting and would then donate her handiwork.  Most of all, she adored her family, and they always came first.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Elizabeth Trinkle and her husband Jeff, of Albany, NY; Karen Lage and her husband Steve of Tolono. Il; Charles Deal and his wife Barbara, of Cary, NC; Nancy O'Banion and her husband Dean of West Chester; nine grandchildren, Ryan, Erik, Lisa, Andrew, Matt, Zach, Lauren, Alex, Caroline, three great grandchildren, Naomi, Simeon, Jada; sister, Elizabeth Deal and her husband Clarke of East Berlin, PA, and a brother, Robert Clark and his wife Janet of Santee, SC.

Services and interment will be private.
