February 17, 1932 ~ November 27, 2016 (age 84) 84 Years Old


Elizabeth Ann Lutz of West Chester, PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, Gaithersburg, MD and Cocoa Beach, FL, died peacefully on November 27, 2016 at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, PA. 

She was born in Darby, PA, second child to Raymond and Mildred Lutz and widow to Dr. James J. Toquinto, the love of her life.  

She is survived by her loving sister Dorothy C. Tarr, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews as well as Toquinto family children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Upon graduation from Notre Dame Moylan High School, Elizabeth devoted 20 years as a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur. She treasured this time that blessed her with an eternal devotion to God, lifelong friends, education and a special peace, love and joy that enhanced her whole life. 

Armed with a Master’s Degree in Education from Fordham University, Elizabeth began her 40-year teaching career with the Montgomery County School District culminating with a position as Assistant Principal. Through her long career she touched so many lives as evident in the countless letters and cards of gratitude that are truly a testament to her devotion and love of all she encountered. She was radiant with strength and love and bestowed that gift to all who surrounded her.  Eternally our Guardian Angel.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 9:30-10:30am at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 15 E Pleasant Grove Rd. West Chester, PA 19382; Her Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am.

Interment will be held in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA 19064.
