Edward D. Tykwinski, Jr., 74 of Kennett Square, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy L. Garman Tykwinski.
Born August 27, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Edward D. Tykwinski, Sr. and the late Catherine Kurtz Tykwinski.
Ed was a member of U.S Military Reserves in Delaware.
He graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School in Upper Darby in 1961.
Ed started his career with TV Guide Magazine, in the mailroom, during high school. He continued his career in the IT department for over 40 years, where he made some life-long friends. Ed enjoyed their weekly luncheons at the Italian American Club in Wayne.
Ed spent his free time hunting and fishing with his children and friends, and traveling to new places. He liked attending NASCAR races. He was a great problem solver and enjoyed fixing things, whether it was computers, cars, plumbing, or electric.
He is survived by his children, Edward D. Tykwinski III and wife Paulette, Paul D. Tykwinski, Eric J. Tykwinski, and grandsons, Paul D. Tykwinski Jr. and Max Tykwinski.
