Dr. Bernosky was born in Elizabeth, PA on February 11, 1939. After graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic, he and his family moved to West Chester, PA in 1962 where he began a successful Chiropractic practice. Dr. Bernosky was a man of conviction and a pioneer in the Chester County area who fought to promote fair and equal treatment of patients by the insurance companies and who lobbied to include chiropractic care in all insurance programs.

"Doc" as he was known to his friends, loved to golf, boat, fish, play tennis and never turned down a good poker game. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Chiropractic Society, the Elks, the Italian Social Club and the First West Chester Fire Company. In 1962, he was Chester County Billiards Champion. He was a member of Concord Country Club for 25 years.

Peter was an avid reader and had an enormous talent for writing. He was a guest columnist for the Daily Local News and voiced his concerns and opinions through countless letters to the editor.

His passion and compassion for animals and wildlife was well known. At his request, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Chester County SPCA 1212 Phoenixville Pike West Chester, PA 19380;of which he was a generous supporter.

Dr. Bernosky felt that out of all of his accomplishments, his children were his highest achievement and were his greatest source of pride. He was a loving and supportive father who knew the value of quality time spent with his children and always lead by example. He was much more than a father, he was a dad.
