Clinton Edward Palmer, 63, of West Chester died peacefully on July 2, 2017 after a long illness. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother.

Clinton was born in LaFayette, Georgia, on December 1, 1953, and grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he was a graduate of Brainerd High School and an active member of Central Baptist Church. He studied Transportation Management at the University of Tennessee and remained a lifelong fan of the Tennessee Volunteers.

Over the course of his life, Clinton traveled the world, first as an Army aviator for 21 years and, and then as a manager at Boeing in Philadelphia. He proudly served his country during Desert Storm, serving as a commander of a helicopter unit, and retired from the Army in 1996 as a Lieutenant Colonel. Clinton's love of flying Chinook helicopters led him to Boeing where he spent almost 20 years supporting fielded aircraft around the world.

Clinton is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kathy; his daughter Lindsay Palmer Barnette (and husband Jason); his grandchildren, Aimee and Nathan Barnette; his mother, Virginia Palmer Pierce; and his brother Kenny (and wife Shani).
