Claire T. Kennedy

Claire T. Kennedy, 88 of West Chester, PA died Friday May 26, 2017 at the Pocopson Home.
 
She was the wife of the late Paul P. Kennedy.

Born in Wilkes Barre, PA on June 30, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Leo Joseph Johnson and Mary Walsh Johnson. 

Claire was a graduate of Miseracordia University in Dallas, PA. She was a high school teacher and had also worked for many years at the law office of Malcolm and Reilly.  

Claire was a member of SS Peter & Paul Church in West Chester, and participated in their Widow's Group. She volunteered at the Chester County Hospital, the Salvation Army of West Chester and Mom's House in Phoenixville. She enjoyed reading.

She is survived by her daughter, Maureen C. Kennedy of Exton, PA, son, Leo J. Kennedy of Exton, PA, grandchildren, Lydia Sutcliffe, Zane Wolf, Liam Sutcliffe, Hank E. Schellenger III, and Allison Mae Schellenger Moran. She was predeceased by her brothers Leo Joseph Johnson, Edward L. Johnson and sister Mary Johnson.

Relatives and Friends are invited to her visitation on Tuesday May 30, 2017 from 9:15 – 10:15am at the SS. Peter and Paul Church 1325 East Boot Road West Chester, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 am.  

Interment will be held in St. Agnes Cemetery West Chester PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to SS. Peter & Paul Church at the above address.
