Callie Virginia “Ginny” Snyder of Downingtown

Callie Virginia Snyder, 88 of Downingtown died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Brandywine Hospital in Coatesville.

She was the wife of the late Ralph M. Snyder sharing 41 Years of marriage living in West Chester where they raised 5 children.

Born December 29, 1926 in Lambsburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Shaw and the late Bessie Pittman Shaw.

Callie was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Elks Club #853 of West Chester.

She loved to travel and loved to go dancing with her friends.

She is survived by her children Diana Ballentine and her husband John of Downingtown, Sandra Pizii and her husband William of Bluffton, SC, Patricia Snyder of Reading, Ronald Snyder and his wife Maryann of West Chester, Stephen Snyder and his wife Stacey of Secane.  Also, she is survived by 7 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and her longtime companion Charles Whitelock of Malvern.

Relatives and Friends are invited to her Funeral Service, 11:00 am Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the West Chester United Methodist Church 129 S. High St. West Chester, PA 19382; where the visitation will begin at 10am. 

Interment will be in Birmingham-Lafayette Cemetery West Chester.
