Bonnie Krafchick

January 9, 1941 ~ December 3, 2017 (age 76) 76 Years Old

Bonnie Krafchick, age 76, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family in the early hours of Sunday, December 3, 2017, in West Chester, PA.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 54 years Jack Krafchick; and their children Dr. Jen Krafchick (David Anderson) of Fort Collins, CO; Dr. Michael Krafchick (Nicole) of Glen Mills, PA; and Lieutenant Colonel Ned Krafchick (Julia) stationed at Fort Belvoir, VA; seven granddaughters: Cleo and Mia Anderson; Taylor, Lindsay, and Jordyn Krafchick; Hannah and Arielle Krafchick, and Bonnie’s sister Harriet Sue Zackroff (Rick), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Hannah and Phillip Damsker of Wynnewood, PA.

Bonnie was born on January 9, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA.  She graduated from Lower Merion High School in 1959 and Drexel University in 1963 with a degree in Retail Management.

Bonnie met her husband Jack while driving a convertible on Haverford Avenue in 1957, and had been together ever since. They lived in Philadelphia, Boston, and Detroit, before settling in Westtown in 1970 to raise their family.

They enjoyed traveling internationally (including bringing their young family to England for a year), visiting dude ranches, and fulfilled a lifelong dream of having a beach house on Long Beach Island, NJ for the past 17 years. Bonnie loved hosting her family and friends at her beach house.

Bonnie was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was the glue that held her whole family together and was fiercely loyal and proud of her family.  Bonnie was also an incredible friend who was always willing to lend an ear and give honest advice.

She was a passionate animal lover who always had dogs, fish, and a few cats over the years.   She loved to cook and host gatherings at her home.  She enjoyed shopping, crafting, and giving gifts to those she loved.  True to her spirit of helping others, Bonnie volunteered with many local organizations including the House of Sparrow, Tri-State Bird Rescue, Independence Dogs, ORT, and Penn Wood Elementary PTA.

Bonnie will be missed greatly by those who loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Graveside Service at 10:30am on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Haym Salomon Memorial Park, 200 Moores Rd. Frazer, PA 19355.
