Benson W. Rohrbeck, 82 of West Chester, died Monday, August 10, 2015 at home.
Born February 7, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late William G.A. Rohrbeck and the late Elizabeth Spangler Rohrbeck.
He graduated from Oklahoma A. and M.
Benson served in the Navy during the Korean War.
Benson retired as Executive Vice President of Devco Mutual Association.
He was the Charter Member of the Advent Lutheran Church, an author of over a dozen books of the PA Trolley Lines, a guide and blacksmith of various East Goshen historical sites and he had a long association with scouting.
He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth McGuinness (Michael); four sons, William, Robert (Patsy), Frederick (AnneMarie), Steven (Elizabeth), 8 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Ada Resch Rohrbeck.
Interment will be held at Birmingham-Lafayette Cemetery, 1235 Birmingham Road, West Chester, PA 19382 on January 2, 2016 at 9:00 am.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation held on January 2, 2016 at 10:00 am at Advent Lutheran Church 1601 Green Lane, West Chester, PA, 19382; followed by his Memorial Service at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Advent Lutheran Church and/or Boys Scouts of America, 504 S. Concord Road, West Chester, PA 1938
