Angus Wallace III

Angus Wallace 86 of Malvern, PA passed away Saturday March 25, 2017 at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, PA.

He was the loving husband of Mary S. Johnstone Wallace, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.

Born on September 1, 1930 in Crosshands, East Ayrshire Scotland, he was the son of the late Angus Wallace Jr. and the late Helen Brannan Wallace.  The son of a plowman, he attended several primary schools as the family moved to different villages to farm, including Dundonald, Kilwinning, and Barrassie one-room schools. He also attended Troon College.

Angus served in the Royal Navy from 1946-1948, stationed in England and patrolled the North Sea.  After his discharge from the Navy he became a long-distance truck driver.  

In 1955, he married Mary S. Johnstone in Kilmarnock, Scotland.  In 1959, they emigrated to the United States arriving in Wayne, PA and later settling in Malvern.

Angus worked as a Mechanical Supervisor for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals since arriving in in the United States in 1959 until his retirement in 1994, with 35 years of service.   

Angus was a member of the Main Line Pipe Band and the Washington Memorial Pipe Band, and was well known for playing the bagpipes for many local events. 

He was also an avid golfer in his spare time.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Karen S. Dulin (Joe) of West Grove, PA, Janis Lewis (Ted) of West Chester, PA and Angus Wallace IV (Denise) of Downingtown, PA.  He also leaves behind grandchildren, Tammy, Kyle, Phillip, Drew, Cassandra, Aileen and Lindsay and great granddaughter Kayla.  He is survived by three sisters Catherine McLanachan (the late Andrew) and Elizabeth Farren (Tommy) of Kilmarnock, Scotland, and Mary Rimmer (Colin) of England.  He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was pre-deceased by his four brothers, John (the late Anna), James, Hughie (Margaret), and Bernard (Helen).  

Services and interment will be private.
