Andrea Fredricka Zebert of West Chester, PA.

Andrea passed away November 13, 2015 at home in the company of her family and friends after a brief and courageous fight with cancer.

She was the daughter of Robert A. Deach, MD and the late Virginia E.(Woerle) Deach. and the stepdaughter of Jane Kauffman Deach.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years Steven, and her sons Christopher and his wife Shea of Pittsburgh, PA, and Michael of West Chester, PA her brothers Stephen Deach and his wife Karen of Ventura, CA, Jeffery Deach of Reading, PA and sisters Barbara Wittich and her husband Fred of Reading, PA and Susan Nelson of Norfolk, VA and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Andrea graduated from Mt. Penn High School in Reading and received her Associates degree from Northwest Community College in Powell, Wyoming. After which she achieved her Bachelor’s degree with honors in Elementary and Special Education from the Penn State University. She began her career at Elwyn Institute in Media, Pa where she taught for 10 years.

She took a break from teaching to raise her two sons in West Chester, Pa. Her family, home and friends were the joys of her life during the years off from teaching but she missed the challenges and rewards teaching offered her. She returned to work for the past 10 years as a Title I Assistant at Russell Elementary School in the Marple Newtown School District. Many of her coworkers and students became friends for life. Her other love was the beach and ocean; She spent much of her vacation time at her favorite, Ocean City, New Jersey.

The family would like to thank Dr. Cheryl Gardner, the nurses and staff of the Ephrata Cancer Center for their kind care, support, and guidance through Andrea’s treatment process. We would also like to thank the doctors, nurses and the staff of Ephrata Community Hospital for going above and beyond our family’s highest expectations in their care of Andrea and support of her husband and family. Thanks also to the Ephrata Ambulance Association for their charitable and immediate services provided in our time of need. Lastly our thanks to Genitive Hospice’s nurse Deb for the positive spirit and amazing care she gave to Andrea in her final hours.

Services and Interment will be private.
