Ada M. DiSanti

Ada M. DiSanti, age 92, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 surrounded by her family at Neighborhood Health Hospice.  She was born on September 29, 1925, in Downingtown, PA to Severino and Maria (Violanti) Sperduti and was one of five daughters.   

She attended Downingtown High School and later worked as an office manager at Lukens Steel before marrying Francis (Frankie) DiSanti on October 18, 1947.  Together they shared nearly 70 years of marriage, raising four children.   Ada lived simply and enjoyed an extraordinary life in ordinary ways. 

Ada was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters; Stella Bilka, Josephine Perella, and Rose Mozzani.  She is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, Frankie, who provided loving care until her final days; sister Angie (Henry) Sieracki of Downingtown, PA; her four children, Barbara Amiro (Joseph) of S. Yarmouth, MA, Marianne Benash (Raymond) of Havertown, PA, Francis DiSanti (Ellen) of West Chester, PA, and Diane Ward (Robert) of Coatesville, PA; six grandchildren—Jessica Mell (Ben), Michael Benash, Brian Ward (Corine), Kevin Ward (Megan), Julia DiSanti and Christine DiSanti; three great-grandchildren—Lydia, Chloe and Daniel Mell; and many nieces and nephews. 

The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday October 10, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the DellaVechia, Reilly, Smith and Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 N. Church Street, West Chester 610-696-1181 www.DellaFH.com and on Wednesday October 11, 2017 from 9:30-11am at the St. Agnes Church 233 West Gay St. West Chester followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment will be at St. Agnes Cemetery.
