Paul R. Olson

Paul R. Olson, 75, of West Chester, PA passed away Saturday March 2, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was the husband of Patricia A. Pilgrene Olson, who were married for 55 years.

Born October 30, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Woodrow Olson and the late Estelle Karkut Olson.

Paul grew up in Clifton Heights, PA and graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School.

He worked as a bricklayer for John B. Kelly for Brickwork for 25 years before starting a successful business, Phoenix Contracting, with his then partner, Tom Collins.

He enjoyed scuba diving over the last 25 years, especially with his grandchildren and son-in-law, reading, and volunteering for hospice and the local food cupboard.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Dawn DeFreitas (Bill), his son Chris Olson, grandchildren, Alexis and Maxwell, and his sister, Francesca White.

Services and Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Main Line Hospice or West Chester Food Cupboard.
