Dorothy Ida Jackson, 91 of West Chester, PA died Friday September 23, 2016 at Sunrise of Westtown.
Born April 28, 1925 in West Chester, PA she was the daughter of the late Robert Dempsy Jackson and the late Esther Gray Jackson.
Dorothy was a 1943 graduate of West Chester High School. She was a working woman, who spent 46 years as the office manager at Yarnall's Garage in West Chester. She also worked 8 years at Warterloo Gardens and 7 years at Montgomery's Gardens. She wrote a book called "What Every Women Should Know About Her Car". It was a best seller in 1974. She was an avid gardener.
She was predeceased by her six siblings, Robert, Elizabeth, Bertha, Nancy, Brinton and Dempsy.
She is survived by her many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and Friends are invited to her Graveside Service at 11:00 am Wednesday September 28, 2016 at the Green Mount Cemetery, 117 Westtown Road West Chester, PA 19380
